2024 Redford Goodfellows Christmas Assistance
The Redford Goodfellows will be accepting applications for 2024 Christmas assistance beginning October 10, 2024 with required interviews starting Tuesday, October 22, 2024. The Redford Goodfellows will be accepting applications online, by mail, email, or by appointment.
To apply online download and complete the below Source of Monthly Income Sheet and the Child Information Sheet. These are fillable forms that may be saved with your last name included in the file name. Next, click on this link 2024 Redford Goodfellows Christmas Assistance, and complete the online application. You will be attaching the 2 files you created below, as well as the required copies of documentation below. All attachments may be saved as .doc, .pdf, .jpeg, or .png files.
Paper copies of the application will be available at the following places:
Redford Community Center at 12121 Hemingway
Redford Police Department at 25833 Elsinore
Twp. Clerk’s office in Town Hall at 15145 Beech Daly
Twp. Public Service Building at 12200 Beech Daly
If you receive assistance from Redford Interfaith Relief you can obtain an application from them.
The completed application along with copies of all required documentation can be returned to the drop box behind Town Hall, the drop box at the Public Service Building, or mailed to P.O. Box 40681, Redford, MI 48240. You can also email your completed application along with the required documentation to [email protected].
If you would rather bring your completed application along with your documentation in person we will be scheduling appointments. You can call 313-498-8475 to obtain an appointment.
The applications must be completed completely (1 page for Seniors (63 and over) and 4 pages for families).
Your application must include the following:
- PICTURE or COPY of Picture ID. This can be your driver’s license or state ID showing your Redford address.
- PICTURE or COPY of proof of residency such as mortgage or rental papers
- PICTURE or COPY of Section 8 paperwork showing how much you pay and how much is paid for you.
- PICTURE or COPY of all income for you, your spouse or significant other, all your children and anyone else who lives in the home.
INCOME INCLUDES:
Salary or wages (2 recent pay stubs)
Unemployment
Written verification of food assistance
Written verification of cash assistance
Written verification of social security or social security disability for all adults and/or children in the home
Written verification of child support for each child
For all eligible children (birth to 18 years old if still in high school) you must submit for each child the following:
- PICTURE or COPY of each child’s birth certificates
- PICTURE or COPY of guardianship paperwork if you are not the child’s parent
- PICTURE or COPY of proof of where each child attends school.
This can be a current report card, a progress report, hot lunch acceptance letter, or a letter from the school. For middle and high school students a picture of their current school ID is acceptable.
The attached Child Information Sheet should include all children 12 and younger. However, all families should include a board game that your family would like as the Commission on Youth and Family plans to again donate a board game for every family.
Your application cannot be approved unless we receive all required documentation. Your completed application and documentation must be returned by Saturday, November 16, 2024. Please make sure you include a valid phone number that we can contact you at. If you are approved we will notify you by phone or email with your pick-up day and time.

Senior Christmas Assistance
If you are a Redford Township resident, age 63 or older, you may apply for Senior Christmas Assistance.
